Personal information

If you choose to give us personal information, for example by contacting us, submitting feedback or completing a survey, we will only use it for the purpose for which it was collected.

We only collect the information we need and handle it in line with data protection legislation and DHCW information governance policies. We do not sell your information or share it for marketing purposes.

For more information about how Digital Health and Care Wales processes personal information, see the DHCW privacy notice [PDF].

User research

We sometimes carry out user research to understand user needs and improve the design system.

Taking part in user research is voluntary. Before you take part, we will explain what the research involves, what information we will collect and how it will be used, and ask for your consent. This may include notes, recordings, transcripts and contact details.

Personal information collected during research is stored securely and access is limited to people who need it for the research. Research findings are anonymised before they are shared more widely. Information that could identify you is deleted when it is no longer needed and no later than 2 years after it is collected.

You can withdraw your consent at any time.

If you have questions about how we collect or use your information, email design.system@wales.nhs.uk.
